Resolved [RESOLVED] Ensoniq AudioPCI & Windows NT

I have Windows NT and no sound in my HP Pavilion 8395.

When I installed sb1135b from the HP site I recieved "batch dll initialization error", reading "ERR NUM 988".

Then I tried to install the Ensoniq AudioPCI Driver from their website, and I run into a problem when I have to add the waveset. A window titled "ENSONIQ AudioPCI Driver Alert", with the message "An unexpected error has occrued." Then it finished, with no sound.
    Any ideas?

What version of NT are you running? I'm using 2000 and my audio pci is working fine except for a crackling sound. It is a bad driver. I guess Creative is working on a new one to fix this problem.
