This is one way of giving your CD Audio that little extra power boost
Customer bought his system in2 our retail shop saying that he was having problems with his ob sound, My Boss em the below pic of what he found.
Yes that is a cd audio lead and yes it had been plugged in the ob cd audio connector.
Dunno if it blew anything in the system i'll try and find out either tomorrow or monday.

My sentiments exactly!
It's been done very deliberately, hard to comprehend.
I've had someone plug the little two pin power connector for the front panel display into the digital out connector on a CD-ROM, but that's at least an understandable mistake for a "fiddler" to make.
Hmm, thinks, maybe a cobbled-up connector for a m/board type fan fitting, that later got shoved onto the sound connector by someone else?

Not a real fiddler.

Didn't use duct tape.
