    Windows+E?

    help desk gave me this:


    short cut on keyboard is not working for Windows Explorer ('Windows' key & E Key)
    Compaq Evo n600c, Windows 2000 -- laptop keyboard.

    Presses Windows key and the start menu does not launch.
    Other windows shortcuts are working such as 'windows' d
    stickey option is not checked in accessibility options.
    Unintalled and reinstalled Keyboard driver.

    windows e key still not working




    any ideas?

    Not Likely that it will, but woth a shot

    I guess you could try plugging in a ps/2 or a usb keyboard and see if it is it is the just the lappie keyboard or perhaps a software problem

    is there a registry setting somewhere that assigns these "hotkeys"????
