    Question Black&White and Norton 2003

Every time I try to play Black & White It will crash back to desktop after the logo screen comes up when I have Norton 2003 installed. When I un-install Norton 2003 Black & White runs fine. I installed the newest patches for the game and also for Norton 2003. I sent an email to the Black & White staff telling them of my problem and they say that my video card does not support direct x very well. But the game plays fine when Norton 2003 is not installed. So I think that it handles direct x just fine.

    I have: Windows 2000 pro w/SP3
    AMD AthlonXP 2.1 processor
    512 DDR ram (2, 128 chips)
    Asus A7V333 mobo
    Creative labs Audio Galaxy Platinum2
    Matrox Parhelia 128mb DDR
80 gig WD hard drive (NTFS)
    DirectX 9.0a

    Any sugestions?
    Thanks

In all seriousness, either stop Norton's when your playing or ditch it for something better like Fsecure.

the problem is with ccapp. it is a component of nav tha monitors other progrmas to see what they are doing. ccapp causes all sorts of problems with directx games. I couldn't play diabloII when I first installed nav2003 a while back. With all the latest updates for norton installed, all my DX games run well again.

Just keep running live update until there is nothing left to update or close down ccapp before running your game.
