[RESOLVED] pci128 sb soundcard
problems with sound on dvd playback slight crackerling noise in back ground unable to get rid of it any fixes for this

I get the same thing on my system actually sometimes.....on an SB PCI128. I think it's related to the fact that it's pretty much a software based sound solution with very little hardware processing. I'm looking into those new Turtle Beach Santa-Cruz cards now.

Disable DMA option from your DVD drive.
If this wouldn't help, try a different DVD Player software.
