Geezer
I hate to do this to you Geoscomp .... but them is the same drivers !
To avoid any more confus-ion the drivers we all have cited download a file called 2976_080100.zip, even though there seems to be a proliferation of links to it !
At least you know they work ! - which was more than I did !
So on that premise ... time to re-try the install perhaps ?

sorry about that confus-ed..
anyway..those are the drivers we use in the machines we build here that need modems..(broadband is slowly making it's way into the wilderness) and are the same drivers provided with the modems we buy. So far we've used them in 42 xp home and 27 xp pro machines with no problem.

The only way I could get this modem to work in XP was to load the OS while the modem was installed.
We use 3594's now.....

I use USR Oem 2977 modems with XP and have had no probs.
only difference is the 2977 has no sound ports and 2976 does
and i dont even load drivers for the 2977 even if Xp is installed
