It's time for the Worst PC of the Year awards again
Okay, the crappiest/strangest PC you have ever worked on. Keep the power above P166.
And that said, I say my own box is a bit odd.
AMD K6-2 500 (oc'd to 550)
I'm using an Adaptec SCSI card I got with what must be the LOUDEST drive on earth (2GB Seagate Barracuda)
2GB SCSI Seagate (Loudest drive on earth)
4GB IBM SCSI Drive ripped out of an Amiga (I think it was an Amiga - it didn't boot)
128MB PC100 SDRAM
SCSI Optical drive, speed unknown (Out of the same amiga)
Zip 100 SCSI drive (out of the same amiga)
IDE 56x CD-ROM
USB2.0 Card
Logitech Dual Optical Mouse
AT Mid-tower case (with ATX power supply)
An old IBM PS/1 Monitor (hits 800x600 - good enough for this)
Intel 10/100 NIC
And the box sits underneath my nightstand on its side, while the monitor is atop. Keyboard's in my lap, and the mouse (thank god for opticals) resides somewhere on my bed.

AMD k6-2 300
AT case
Amtron mobo
1.2 gig HD
onboard everything:
c-media sound
winmodem riser(uses system memory)
via video(uses ~8 megs system memory)
but yet it has 512 megs of memory; so i installed w2k server on it but it runs like a dog in the dead heat of summer
When I first opened the case some of the seiral port/parralel port connecters wern't hooked up right and some fool decided to hook the +5 volt connector from the power supply to one of the button/led connectors , IRC it was on the power led side of the keylock connector. Nothing fryed tho'.
May the Schwartz be with you

Hey man, I just (five months ago) replaced three servers that met these specs ... almost. They only had 64mb of memory, and the drives were 8gb but only set up as one (Netware) partition.

Bought thru an "infomercial". Forget the brand name but a Hsing Tech mobo (PCChips). They bought it when WinXP first came out and the thing was in for repairs 6 times in one year. They kept sending it back saying there was nothing wrong with it. Took me all of 2 minutes to notice that every piece of software (and there was a LOT) was written for Win2k not XP. Not to mention they even used Win2k drivers when XP already had its own drivers for the hardware. Needless to say format and reinstall and correct drivers and the machine is fine. Had to leave out 50 or so pieces of software and they had to buy a few other pieces that would work. Otherwise they were about to throw out the machine.

Compaq
Compaq Presario, 200MHz pentium, no MMX, 16 megs of EDO ram, onboard video and sound, 2.1 gig hdd.
it basically would not even play winamp. everything crashed, all the time. takes longer to open a folder than it does for me to go downstairs and pee, and get back. and this is with a new, clean install of win95.
so worthless, my brother started using another pentium, 233MHz, MMX, and it was as if he were in heaven. that Compaq was just crap. total crap.

Strangest
Strangest: i slowly collected parts over a couple years. here's the order or so that i got them
Mobo: Intel SE440BX-2, with 450p3, 128 megs pc100. it's my old stuff, i let someone run a CS server with it for about 2 year straight. it sat in a drawer (literally), and ran that server for hundreds of days straight.
Video: Donated 2 meg pci card, cause my buddy lost my 2xAGP 8 meg ati rage fury pro card. oh well, there's no monitor anyway, just VNC. he also donated the next item -
10/100 NIC, registered to someone i don't even know who used to go to this university.
HDD: 7.85gig ata/33 5400rpm Fugitsu hdd, that i bought for 10 bucks so my buddy could afford a couple burritos at Chipolte
CD-ROM: 48x, i bought for a six pack of beer from my neighbor. i even drank one of the beers.
Power supply: 250 watt. another buddy had a bad PSU, and our computer supplier (we're required by the university to buy their brand of computer, and we get a warranty for 4 years, so we had similar PCs at one time) just sent him a new one, rather than send in the old one, which they usually require. so, i bring the bad one in, and get a new one. they basically replaced the same PSU twice, so i got one for free.
Keyboard: i found one in the trash in the engineering building.
floppy: someone gave me a bunch of old 486's, with no hdd's in them. so, i ripped one from one of them, as well as a fan from the 486's PSU, and added that in there as well.
IDE cable, borrowed from yet another person.
Cat5, 25 feet, from Mendelsohn's, 6.99
Total Cost: 6 pack beer, $16.99
and the clincher? i didn't have a case, so i built it in a cardboard box. the day i finally got enough parts, i whipped out my pocket knife and starting cutting holes in a box that used to hold fruit. now, it has a computer duct taped into it.
total people involved in collecting parts? me, mark O.(cd-rom), Mark K.(floppy, fan), Mike F.(hdd), Tangent Computers (for the free PSU), Mike K.(psu), Jason F. (different stick of ram), Mike W. (nic)
oh, i don't have any pics, or i'd post them. i covered it with a cut up trash bag so i don't spill water into it or something stupid. it's currently running underneath my bed, with win2k advanced server on a 10mbit hub (which i also got for free from Dave P.)

It's not over P/166 but...
Not long ago I had to get some files from my old computer(if i can call it so). Spectrum Sinclair compatible, 16K of ROM, 48K of RAM ( 7 used for video), 720k 3-1/2 floppy, running BASIC and CP/M.. the CPU is a 3.5MHz Z80...
