    Resolved [RESOLVED] SBNew Driver w Win ME Disaster

    I Installed the updated win ME drivers for SB Live and it failed locked up and when I shut down rebooted all I got was a blank grey sceen nothing else even in safe mode I actually had to reinstall with a boot disk over existing files I lost all my settings under my profile. Anybody have this happen?

    Yep. Happened with an ISA Creative AWE32. I think WinMe bites. I binned it pronto. I have spent 1/5 of my adult working life trying to get Microsoft stuff to work w/o problems. No more. This is not an upgrade, it a correspondence course on PC maintainance and repair.. Just my $0.02

    Win ME is staying on the cd since it does not properly support my SB128 pci sound card

    winME dropped support for many isa sound cards.
