XP setup

I have a computer with winxp home and I tried to upgrade it to xp pro but their is somthing wrong with the hard drive and It wont go through no evertime I start the computer is giveing me a choice to chose between home and pro but pro is still trying to setup how could I get ride of the pro trying to setup.

Is it actually going into the blue screen setup, or are you just getting a black and white screen with the choice of xp home or pro?

If you get the latter, then you just need to right click my computer, properties, advanced, startup and recovery and there you can edit the startup menu options.

edit the boot.ini file, and remove those entries, and change the default to be the XP home option...

Sounds like instead of upgrading to xp pro, you installed a dual boot with both operating systems
