You can login as Adminstrator in normal mode. Log off, press ctrl alt del to get the login screen in you don't get it when you log off, then type Adminstrator and the adminstrator password you set and login.

I think you can bring up the login box by doing CTRL+ALT+DEL 3 times real quick. If i remember correctly It's been a long time since I used it seemed to drag my P III 800 down.

Although I know this is not the nature of his question. It does help. I have found that XP home has the Admin Account Disabled in "Normal" Mode. You can only login as Administrator in "Safe" Mode. You can press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice at the Welcome Screen to get the Logon Dialog box without turning all that stuff off also.
Found this out when working on an XP home PC for a friend. Tried to logon as Admin and was constantly denied access. Read a MSKB article about not being able to logon as Admin on Home. Sure enough boot to Safe Mode and login the first time. Also, you cannot view the Local Users/Groups in Normal Mode.
You Know!?!.....That Little Button that SAYS "Start" in the lower left hand corner!

Tweak UI for XP available here has a setting that will let you show Administrator as an available logon user in regular mode while still using the icon based logon screen/fast user switching screen.
It works in corporate, not sure about home, but I think the program is the same for both versions.
