Problem With ASOUND Express
There is a hissing noise in the speekers. Another thing is that when I use just plain speeker (non amplified) They just distort at any volume. Please if you have any suggestins or comments post them.
I really need help I sold this to one of my custiomers.

Remove the drivers Windows installed and run the setup on the CD. If you still get the hissing from the speakers then the card is DOA.

Before you chuck the card, I would check to see that the line-in and microphone inputs are muted. If these are on it can introduce some noise.

As addition,check Your sound card in DOS mode. If problem persist, You definately have fried amplifier IC soldered in Your sound card - I've seen this effect many times. Simply resolder this IC or change Your's sound card output mode from "speaker" to "line-out", using jumpers on Your card (refer to manual), and use amplified speakers.
