Where are AOL Favorites stored?
I do not use AOL. I hate it. But I have clients that do. I want to know where are the FAVORITES stored? On the PC or in the AOL browser? In other words can a user go to another PC and log in to AOL and still have their favorites? Or are they on the hard drive? If so where are they? I need to back them up before doing a reformat.
Thanks

check the organize folder of whatever version your client/s are using.

They are not stored like IE favorites.
Your best best is to archive the entire "organize" folder. That contains the lionshare of your data.
If it's AOL 8, the address book is store on AOL's server.

I don't know where the favorite are stored, but I did a Google search for convert AOL favorites to explorer favorites and got some good results of third party utilities that do that sort of thing

The first answer was the correct one. I've been using AOL for years and all the address book, favorite places and mail is stored in the ORGANIZE FOLDER!
