Super Sound Origins 32W3D - Jumpers & Software?
Hi. I have a used SIC Resources "Super Sound Origins" 32W3D sound card; it has an Opti 925/941 chipset with a Crystal/Cirrus CS4231A-KL CODEC chip. It has two jumpers, JP1 - 2 pins, and JP3 - 3 pins. I need to know what these jumpers do.
I know Opti has the generic chipset drivers, and I know there is no W98 support, and I know/think SIC is dead.
Does anyone have any of the original SIC software that they would care to share? Thanks.

Bingo! Hewitt-Rand - www.hewittrand.com - installed these cards on their machines at one time and they still support the card. Their archive drivers page is down at the moment, but when it's back up look for their part number mm-57g. Unfortunately, they do not post the proprietary version of Willow Pond AlgAE 2.10.00 that originally shipped with the card, but everything else needed is there. There are far more setup options than with the Opti generic driver sets. There are also the EPROM flash files to enable/disable the troublesome IDE interface on the card. Properly set up it is a wonderful card. If anyone has the original proprietary software, I would still love a copy. Thanks.

Hi. The drivers are also on this site now, as well.
