Angry creative vibra 16 drivers for win2k!! this is tough

I am trying to find the newest drivers for the creative vibra 16 card (model: ct4180) for windows 2000. I went to creatives site and all they have is vibra128 drivers and no sound blaster 16 drivers for win2k. this is really wierd. the computer also says it cant load the drivers for the microsoft directmusic SW synth (wdm). maybe this is the problem? all i know is that i cant fix this without some help!

Mmmm that is wierd - just checked Creative's site myself. I must agree that Creative's support for WDM (ME/2000) device drivers is shocking for their older products. Have you tried Windows Update? What problems (apart from the music synth thing) are you having with your existing driver? Are you getting any sound at all as it is?

Nearest I can tell, Creative does not offer a driver for this card under W2K. Why would that be shocking? This is an old card. Just how long should a company continue to support old discontinued items under OS's that weren't even on the drawing board when the hardware was made?
