    Yahoo Account

I lost access to my Yahoo account for a few days. Not because I didn't have internet access, and certainly not because I forgot my ID. But because my password hadn't changed for years, was insecure, I decided to change it, and then COULDN'T REMEMBER IT EVEN IF YOU STUCK A GUN TO MY HEAD!!!!

Moral of the story, if you change a password you have been using for years, right down the new password until you are familiar with it.

Note: It took some thinking but I did managed to figure out the password... at least it was secure.

It's not too surprising that so many passwords are forgotten when you consider just how many we need to survive day to day. Here's some things that require password each day just for me......

    House alarm
    Mobile Phone
    Cashpoint Card
    Home PC's & Server
    User Account at the office
Servers Admin accounts at the office
    Software login for work app.
    Yahoo Accounts
    BT Internet account
    NTL account
    Scanner system login at work
Door codes at work X 3
Old internet accounts that I still access now and again
    Online bank login passwords
    Print servers at customers
    etc.
    etc.

In fact the more I think about it the more is amazes me how few passwords we actually forget, so don't beat yourself up too much!!
