Unhappy Can not access website internally

    Hi guys,

I'm trying to access a website within the network.

This website is displayed fine over the internet, but for some reason on the internal network, if you type in the domain name, it fails. You have to use IP address.

The web site is being hosted on a Red Hat 9.0 installation using apache 2.0 if that helps.

The box I'm trying to use to connect to the website is a windows 2000 box and I have entered the following into the host file

    192.168.1.3 acme.com

(IP address and domain name changed to protect the innocent.

    Thanks for any help guys.

add the alias to the DNS server so that it resolves properly... or add an alias to the internal IP.. don't forget www in the host file...
