I always hated how they re-used the same "ship flies away from screen to the right (or left)" shot.

Nononono, noonoo, that was Buck Rogers. I can't remember the name of the little robot, though, that did that.
That little guy was a trendsetter, though, eh? I mean, his little friend was that big circular medallion hung around his neck. Not too much later than that R&B artists would wear such things.

When they did that effect I reckon it only went in one direction, and they reversed the image to get two directions for the price of one... tight budget...
