DLink G520 hell
I'm having problems installing two wireless DWL-G520 (rev b) NICs into two seperate Win98PCs.
They both exhibit the same symptoms: the drivers, once installed, fail to load.
Error is that ndis.vxd and ntkern.vxd have 'failed to load the device driver'.

I'm assuming that you loaded the drivers from cd before installing the card, and that after you loaded the drivers you chose I will restart later, and then shut down the machine and installed the card and rebooted? Have you checked in safe mode and removed all of the drivers you tried to install? Checked for any irq conflicts? Is win98 set up in the bios as a plug and play os?

Geezer
.... & ACPI in bios on or off ... this also affects how resources are shared ...
(errr ummm why does geoscomp think you should load the drivers before adding the card? I always do it after ...)

Geoscomp thinks that because that is specifically what it says to do in the troubleshooting section of the Dlink manual for that card, and in the original installation instructions for that card

This gentleman came into chat with this issue. After having him remove the network stack and re-installing the card drivers and the Windows files that were mentioned and missing.......It all works fine.
