Job opening - $20/hr
A sister of a coworker owns a company that is wanting to contract someone for very basic MS helpdesk/phone support for about 1000 users. I just thought I'd throw this out there since I know some of us are going through tough times.
Stipulations:
-Job is in St. Louis County, Missouri (Clayton)
-Must be female (She says the company believes they deal with people more effectively - problem is I know no female techs)
-Pays $20/hr with full benefits (it's cheap to live in St. Louis, too)
-Job is initially temporary while company goes through some sort of restructuring - Guaranteed 4 months, possibly a year guarantee to follow. (Oil refinery company based in Conn)
PM me if you know anyone who might be interested!
(Feel free to move if in wrong forum)

Must be female for a tech job, because their more efficient?
Opening themselves up to all kinds of lawsuits for that one!

That's very cool of you to post that Darkstar, hopefully someone here will benefit.
I wonder what people's reactions would be if that statement were gender reversed.
i.e.
"-Must be male, she says the company believes men deal with people more effectively."

Well, I do know a couple in that area, problem is they aren't female either..but then, basing hiring decisions in that fashion is illegal anyway

Being female doesn't really mean didly...and I should know being female myself. If that boss wants to avoid a lawsuit based on Equal Opportunity they shouldn't stipulate gender. Rather, allow everyone to apply, have interviews, and just hire a female if that's really how the boss wants to play it.

Hmm...not too much of a pay increase...but it would get me out of here.....
Damn.... too bad moving isn't an option.......
The hiring only females seems odd. I bet it will take awhile to fill all the positions at that rate!
