Good Sound Card
Can anybody lead me in the right direction for a sound card with digital outs and ins (other than the event cards)?? I have a turtle beach montego 2 and I can live with it anymore.

Go to www.firingsquad.com for good sound card reviews. I'd stay away from Sound Blasters though.

Nothing beats the SBLive 5.1 platinum as far as digital quality goes.

SBLive! family is grand. Just make sure you read the manual and instructions, on how to properly install and use it.

Stay away from SB products, They really are crap. Driver support sucks. And they aren't very compatible with VIA based motherboards.
Turtle Beach is a great alternative.

Better yet, stay away from Via chip based MoBos. Have had no problems with SB products or driver support.

Neither have I. The SB Live was the ONLY thing in my system that I didn't have to experiment with at least 3 different driver revisions to get working correctly.
And yes, VIA chipsets suck, but since all of the GOOD motherboards are using them, they're about the only choice for hardcore AMD fans.

SB Live! rules majorly, and has never given me any problems. Just do a little research to make sure there aren't known issues with your hardware, and you should be fine.
