    Using USB2 with Camera

I have up till now connected my Fuji FinePix A204 to a standard USB port. I have now installed a USB2 card which came with my scanner and wonder if I can connect my camera to it without harming the xD card or should I carry on using a standard port?

Usb2 is backwards compatible - putting a slower device on the port will not cause any harm. Glad to hear the usb2 card went in without a hitch!

Thanks Noo, yes piece of cake putting that card in after the initial concerns about space and worth it if the speed of my scanner is anything to go by.

usb 2 doesn`t speed your hardware using usb1,you have to get a usb2 scanner to speed things out

Yes I know, the USB2 card was bundled with my USB2 Scanner but I have only just installed it. I realise that using USB1 devices through a USB2 port won't speed things up but my question was whether I would damage my camera which I assume is USB1 device. I have the answers now and many thanks to all. Guess you can close the thread now please Noo.
