Question Those god damned usb pens !

Looking for 'somewhere' in the uk that ships those flipping usb pens ... want 512 mb or greater please !

I can find a few but once you go beyond 64mb they get ridiculously expensive ... I have a customer who 'swears blind' that he's seen one 'cheap' ... claims less than £80 (for a 1gig one!)... well the best I can do is approx £200 ...

Am I missing something or is he just a wally !?!

... I suspect wally ! - but last time he 'swore blind' he was right !! ...

i have a 128meg ( cos i hav,nt got cd rom on my lappy) ,,,,tiz good

ps , i bought a little adaptor from www.cpc.co.uk (which is 2 mins drive away) , in order to copy the full I386 folder to my lappy drive ,,cost £2.45 ,,,inc rails! ,,

as my external memorex cd-r (****) gave up after copying about 400-500 files.,,,,,plus the thing was USB1 ,,,,,= very slow ,,,,half an hour to copy a cd.

from now i use the pendrive to load large proggys (128m) ,,,VERY few are larger than that.

    Question :

as those are getting more popular,

i along with others need generic drivers , to load from DOS ,, with a bootable floppy ?

i cannot find a driver, most will find it (and a cd-rom , but not assigh a drive letter.)

if anyone has a command line and sutable *.sys files , i would be most greatfull , for them. (under dos 6.2 /95??? /98 ,,,,

Freddy, this could be worth a look for drivers:

    http://www.stefan2000.com/darkehorse...S/Drivers/USB/

I've also seen a recommendation for this:

    http://www.datoptic.com/Drivers/DAT.exe

to enable you to see USB2 devices from a DOS boot floppy. I've just downloaded it, but haven't tried it yet.
