Gallage, gary and the terminator for gov?
What do youi all think of this >> this is not a joke!!! this is the real deal http://www.yahoo.com/s/102601
Celebrities are already in the public eye, but some are saying they want to become public servants, too.

Slideshow: Calif. Governor Faces Recall
On Wednesday, Gary Coleman (news), the star of the 1980s sitcom, "Diff'rent Strokes," plunked down $3,500 in Alameda County and declared himself a candidate for governor of California. Current governor Gray Davis is facing a recall election Oct. 7.
The diminutive actor has been in and out of legal trouble since the popular show ended, and was recently on the E! series "Star Dates," where stars and singles mingle with mixed results.
Arnold Schwarzenegger (news) also announced his candidacy Wednesday while taping "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (news - Y! TV)." He ended a news conference by telling reporters "I'll be back."
"The politicians are fiddling, fumbling and failing," the "Terminator" actor said. "The man that is failing the people more than anyone is Gray Davis. He is failing them terribly, and this is why he needs to be recalled and this is why I am going to run for governor."
Comedian Gallagher is also gathering signatures.
The celebrities enter a pool of eager candidates hungry to oust Davis, who has seen his popularity plummet as the state grapples with a record $38 billion budget deficit. Davis is the first California governor to face a recall and would be only the second governor nationwide to be removed from office if the effort succeeds.
Popular Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein ruled out a run, saying the election was becoming "more and more like a carnival every day."
Meanwhile, Jerry Springer has decided not to run for U.S. Senate after spending about $1 million of his own money crisscrossing Ohio the last six months, speaking at Democratic dinners and gauging support for a Senate bid. He had said he would run if he could "break through the clutter of the show" and be a formidable candidate.

I think Gallagher would be the best candidate. He is more intellectual, and always finding ways to innovate his chores and duties. I can see his campaign now…But what will he put under the sledge-o-matic !

What a zoo
I don't live in Cali so I'm not familiar enough with Gov. Davis' alleged failings to say whether or not he deserves to be recalled. It would be one thing if he had done something criminal or perhaps morally questionable. I get the impression people are blaming some economical problems on him. Maybe he's messing up by the numbers and should get the boot, maybe he's being blamed for the culmination of problems that have been years in the making and over which he had no real control.
I seem to be more concerned about the recall precedent being set here than most people seem to be.
As for the menagerie of would be hopefuls lining up to supplant Gov. Davis...I'm thinking this whole thing is going to be interesting and memorable at the very least.

If it's true that wherever you go, there you are: how come so many people look lost?

What about Anna Nichole Smith? I think she needs to drop about 120 pounds, but she could be a contender…

I think Flint would be a good choice too. The guy started from nothing to become one of the richest men in the US.
He certainly has liberal politics, so he'd fit in with the Crazy California political weather.
He could certainly pull the legislature together, all he'd have to do is bribe or blackmail them like he did when Clinton was having problems.
He can certainly get the job done. Hustler was facing bankruptcy when he was in jail and he pulled it out of a hole. He can do the same for the state of Califlower. (sic)
The problem is will the feminists stand for it...? (Heck, he could just put them on the payroll as well...)

Flint would probably get the feminists in his corner by promising to get women into Augusta National Golf Course. Then he'd honor that commitment by requiring Augusta to implement a topless female caddy program.

The only problem with that is that Augusta is in Georgia, not Claifornia

Actually it wasn't a bad idea. Come to think of it, do you have to be a resident of California to be Governor of California.
If not, I'm putting MY hat in the ring. You heard first on Windrivers....
Orangeman for Governor
Here's my campain program:
1)Raise money by instituting a statewide beautification program: Mandatory breast implants for all women between the ages of 14 and 40.
2)Solve the illegal immigration program by cutting California in two and giving the southern half back to Mexico, from whom we stole it
3) Solve the drug problem by shooting all the drug addicts and televising it.
4) Solve the educational problem by reinstating corporal punishment for all students getting a D or lower on their report card and/or fining their parents for bad grades.
5) Solve the all lewelfare problem by requiring gislators to live on welfare for 3 years
6) Solve the Medicale problem by banning all doctors from the golf course
7) Solve the transportation problem by banning cars and requiring all Californians to bicycle to work
8) Solve the environmental problem by doing step 7.
9) Solve the overpopulation problem by instituting the previous 8 steps
10) There is no step 10. All our problems are solved. Orangeman for President!!!

That's the strange part, or at least one of them. Two days before he announces his candidacy he says he can't do it because of his shooting schedule.
Then he comes back yesterday and announces...
go figure...
