Usbpn01
I installed this a cannon printer and keep getting this message.
"Error writing to USBPN01 for printer (canon s200sp(copy2) Invalid access to memory location" .. this is after installing a 4 port usb card into a 686 mx machine.
It will however, work but will stop halfway through.
anyhelp would be appreciated.

Can you confirm whether this happened before you added the usb card ... or was that why you added the card ? (BTW why does it say 'copy 2' you only need one instance of it ... sounds like somethings not installed correctly somewhere's)

I recieved this messge after i installed the printer card the first time. On rebooting the computer it detected the printer and asked for the driver which i duly did, resulting in a copy2.
Printed out the test page ok on copy2 .The next morning apprantly the error message came up.
hope this helps.

Still sounds like the printer isn't detected correctly ... windows shouldn't be finding another copy of it, would suggest you completely uninstall both copies of the printer, & check the install instructions for this particular model & follow them exactly, some of them 'like' the drivers without the device present etc ... |(which isn't exactly what you'd expect )

Go here for downloads for your S200 printer. There is a Setup.pdf file available...it just might have some good info in there that you're missing.
As the Confus-ed one said, you might need to start all over. Most USB devices like for that drivers to already be installed so that once the device is hooked it, it just takes off and load the drivers automatically.
Also, you didn't say which version of Windows you're using...looks like Win2K and XP have recent updated versions.
Good Luck!
