Windows Longhorn UI Shots

You mean the cows?
MaxPC has a couple articles about it. Last OS for a while from MS so they say (suuuuuure). All interfaces are direct x enabled, nothing, not even the keyboard hasaccess to the hardware directly and has to pass through the OS (no more keystroke loggers and many a trojan). Still NTFS based but enhanced. Lots of changes.

It's not even at beta stage yet is it? Not ripping on ya but it's kind of early to judge.

ya its beta...but I dont like how it is going right now.. still ugly looks liek Xp but blue...
there trying to compete with the linux desktop...I eman there are some cool features but there are alot of them ive seen and used that suck. Oh-well we will see how it is when its done...
Hope its better than XP and runs faster.. there supposed to be using .NET and directx

Considering that every single interface will most likely be direct X enabled, I doubt it will be anything but bloatware and you'll need to turn off a ton of junk before it runs well.

Theres alot of transparancy finally in windows and I guess window animation like in MAC OS X ... this should be fun
