    I am sitting here playing with a lappie that has a "preventon" firewall that is refusing to uninstall and seems to be the culprit stopping the customer downloading securely...

    we're having a "customer appreciation day". Every bloody thing is on sale. we have el'chepo hp deskjets for $9.99 and still people are haggling over the prices and wanting us to do things like throw in a $20 ream of photo paper for free.

    Waiting for the Coast Guard to show up in my office, so we can have our close out meeting for our Oil Tank Farm Facility inspection. Then I get to go home for a week!

    I had to go in for 6 hours, but they are giving me a day off in leu of. I'm think of Nov 10th as the 11th is a tuesday and a holiday.

    I had to go in at midnight on saturday to help out for a few hours. We're expecting a 3 million dollar weekend so I figured it was least I could do.

    I started in Oakland, then went to San Francisco, then back to Oakland, then to Sacramento, then finally at 6:30 home to Fairfield. Today was the road warrior day. 3 locations one it guy and migration from qwest to covad. Web site still down cause the web guy hard coded the old IP to the site.

    It's Bank Holiday monday (so a national holiday for the 'English' ) yet I'm still working ... that'll teach me to be self employed ... Saturdays what are they ?? I don't think I remember those
