Athlon Barton die colour
I have just received what should be a Barton cored Athlon XP 2500+. My first thought was that it should be mounted on a BROWN non-ceramic die. But this one is a lovely shade of GREEN!
It definitely gets "seen" by the BIOS as an XP 2500+, with a bus speed of 166 by default (MSI Delta-L...brand new).
Now have I been sold a dud? Or do AMD now make the Barton in green? BTW, it works well at least up to the equivalent to a 2800+ speed without getting any hotter, but will leave it at stock speed from now on as I'm not that fussy about speed.
I am awaiting your responses to this "green" question with great anticipation!

. (6) AMD makes this processor in two colors: brown (pictured above) or green. Both are identical except for color. We do not guarantee a specific color as this may vary.
