Summary:
Disables security software. Purports to be security software.
Category:
Adware - displays numerous popups recommending purchase of various Acceleration Software products. Firewall Killer - interferes with operation of several personal firewalls. Loader - quietly installs other files. Exploit - uses social engineering and stealth tricklers to gain control of the system.

... 'tis indeed 'easier' to format, 2 this week so far!
Also makes some nasty claims about two of 'our' favourite free products at WD; adaware & spybot ... all untrue !! that's what alerted me to the first case (when I installed spybot the whole thing went nutz !)
I've had mail back from the spybot guy who seems to take this 'attack' on his product quite seriously so no doubt his lawyer will be on the job soon...
Here's one hell of a thread ! about it, 13 pages ... so if you have it you ain't alone, as far as I understand it - there's a 'new' version a bit less 'intrusive' now, but I won't be loading it to check !!!!
