    Damaged CMOS Battery Holders

If a CMOS baterry holder becomes damaged I've read somewhere that you can fit another battery to the board using the cmos clear pins.

Anyone any info on this. Also where in the UK to get a bateery with appropriate lead. Come to that where's the best place for fiddly bits like case screws, termal pads etc. Recomendations?

    Thanks

for damaged battery sockets, just find a dead board and de solder the old damaged on and replace with the one from the deadboard, just make sure you get the positive and negative point the right way round.

If you don't feel comfortable doing it e-mail me and we maybe able to arrange something as I do this kind of thing alot.

Um, alternatlively pop into maplins get a dual AA battery holder and desolder the old damaged socket and solder a 9volt battery adaptor in its place and plug the dual aa holder into that works I do it to my macs, saves £6
All sorts of wonderful things in life.
