video problems
Hi, I'm using a Geforce 2MX card with Dual-Display. Now, when I'm trying to play Star Trek Bridge Commander it starts playing the opening video (Paramount Pictures intro), however, it plays extremely choppy and thus the game also runs at a choppy speed. I don't understand why it does this, as I did a clean install of everything. However, I'm guessing it's the videocard drivers or something I installed. (I do a lot of video editing on this computer).

Have you tried to remove the vga driver on Safe Mode and then install it again?

Keep in mind also that a 32MB card may run choppy on bridge commander or any one of the newer games out there, even with the right driver.

Yes...game wise but not the opening video.
Have you made any hard drive changes recently or installed new ata drivers? Could be your problem.

I don't think it's the videocard becuase it never used to do this. After I installed several of my editing programs I think it started doing this. Is it possible that one of the codecs or something may be corrupt?

Yes, it could be caused by a codec, a faulty/corrupted installation or something.
If there's nothing else to do, I would backup, format and reinstall.
just my 2 cents..
