We have corporate policies where I am at that basically have a listed protocol. I get advanced noticed of any employee termination, I have the approximate time and that person's manager. I get a quick call before they are called into their office, and the remote shutdown via Computer Management or VNC. No problem.

I have also been in the scenarios where the manager would say they were going to let someone go and then change their mind. It makes IT look very bad when you disable someone's account and get a call from their mgr asking why they can't logon.

    Management is Key!

Management changing their mind, leaving IT in the scrutiny spotlight...happens all too often...But then If we weren't on our toes when the time was right they would be pissed then too...

    Smile thats nothing!

thanks a lot for the thanks, but thats nothing.

The true facts are that windows management is the same as a Babel's Tower: Microsoft just start puting things and extra stuff on top of eachother since the Milenium OS, once the ram and processing capabilities develloped to deliver better perfomance than the necessary to run system OS and a few programs.... Thats what i call an incompetent programing job, that in the end put all of the it managers going from one tool to another to get things done...

I know its hard to satisfy every wish from the users, but the bugs are too mutch, and the tools start to bee in need of a recompilation.... Microsoft should start thinking to take a while, spend time, before lunching a product. With just a litle more time to test and recompile, things would bee easier.
