IE - new windows aren't maximized

When you click on a link in Internet Explorer 6, if the link opens in a new window, it is not maximized. I think I remember seeing something about this, but I can't remember where the h&ll it was. The user wants the new windows to be maximized when they are opened. She is running Windows XP Home edition with all Windows Updates installed. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help & have a great weekend everyone.

    Regards.

Give this a try (From www.theeldergeek.com):

    * Open a single Internet Explorer window to the smaller size.
    * Drag the corners of the window until it completely fills the screen. Do not use the maximize button to enlarge the window.
    * Hold down the Ctrl key, keep it depressed, and using the mouse click File and then Exit on the menu bar. Do not use the "X" in the upper right corner to close the window.
    * Internet Explorer should now open in a full window.
    * If it still opens to a smaller size repeat the above instructions, substituting the "Shift" key for the "Ctrl" key.

    Cheers

The Elder Geek is a very nice site, and a member here, although he only joined to thank us for seeing that his site had been plagerised and we reported it to him.

I often quote the reg hacks from there because they are laid out very well.
