Once upon a time in Mexico
What are your thoughts? I absolutely hated it. The first two were great because it was pretty much one man with a vendetta to settle using shotguns and handguns to do so. I was really dissapointed the first time I saw him pick up a fully automatic sub-machine gun and picked off 6 people in a row. This was very depressing.

i seen it, i thought it was good and very enteraining.
the plot was pretty thick, i wasnt expecting that much from the movie.
i liked johnny depps role
antonie banderas has more of a reason to go after the military guy. part one didnt seem to believable that he fell in love with that chick they killed.
everyone was corrupt in the movie
cant wait till it comes out on dvd for i can have the trilogy
all around i give it thumbs up

El Mariachi
It was a sundance film festival winner and, besides the bad cinematography, it was actually quite a good movie. I can't believe anyone would like this movie. Picture Roger Rodriguez on a heroin binge that concocts this great movie in his head but, considering he's high as a kite, should check the plot in the morning when he's sober to make sure others would like it. But, he doesn't and he just makes the movie - the movie with no good plot, no good characters and no good action. If you think about seeing this movie, think about this little exerpt first. In Desperado, Mariachi had two guitar playing friends that he called on. It was pretty cheesy that one had a sub-machine gun guitar and the other had a rocket launching guitar but it was OK because it was a pretty good movie. Now, take a bad movie that you're ready to walk out on anyhow and give him two more friends (different since the last ones died) that are pretty similar to the last one except these ones have different cases. One is a flame thrower, that's not too bad considering the last ones. However, the other is a remote controlled guitar bomb... yes you heard me correctly. Put the guitar case down, open case, remove remote control, close case, wheels pop out and you proceed to steer the guitar case under a car and detonate.... Please, picture that before you spend 7 bucks on this one.

The first movie in the Trillogy is called El Mariachi. It's completely in Spanish, and from what I hear was made on a budget of mere thousands (Not like the 8 Million or so that he got for Desperado, which still isn't much)
It's kind of hard to find. I got mine on a DVD "flip disk" with El Mariachi on one side, and Desperado on the other. Highly reccomended!
