3d video Question
Have 3 older pc's 233-400 mhz range all have some pci 2 or 4 meg v-cards. All have 128 ram and different mobos. I want to know if I get a error message on these units of:
Not enough or no 3d hardware found. Will upgradeing the v-card to a 3d 16 meg v-card make this problem go away ?
It is the "Driver" game we want to put on these pc's. The cpu should have nothing to do with configuration of the game only speed? Thanks

Yeah, the video card is definately the problem. You can pick up a TNT chipset-based 16MB card for like $40 or $50 if you look around.

The game is looking for a video card that has, more than likely, Direct3D accelleration, which your generic cards don't have. As Cobra stated above, you get a cheapie TNT card, or if you can find it, you could get a Voodoo2 card for aroound $30. A voodoo2 card would allow you to keep the existing video card. It would work with the current card.
