    Access Database Repair

    Anybody got any MS Access repair utilities to recommend for Access '97 and or 2k?

    Freeware if possible, they are coming up as unrecognized format.

    The 2 versions are not really compatible. If you used 2k to open a 97 database it breaks it for 97. I think you could open Access 97 (without opening the database ) then go to Tools-database utilities-repair and try to repair it. I've had this work when it wouldn't let me open it otherwise.

    no it's not the different versions of Access thing.

    It's the user's system locked up and after a forced reboot now they are getting this error.
