Partition Magic type program that is free?
I want to change the partition on my notebook without having to format/install (works perfectly at the moment) and this is a one time deal so I'm not in the mood to shell out $70 for a program I'll most likely use once (never had a need before, can't think of any in the future...)
So is there a program that will partition a XP Home (NTFS) the way Partition Magic does that is free or a lot cheaper than $70? TIA

How about the evaluation copy of Partition Magic?
Assuming it's for personal use, it's free for a time-limitted period.

Try Ranish by all means! The current versions of Drive Image and Partition Magic have the distinction of being the first products from Powerquest that I think truly stink.

PartitionMagic's free trial will not let you modify the HDD, just see what you can do...

It cost a little more for Perfect Disk but I didn't want so much a freebie as I did not want to spend so much for a program I figure I wouldn't use much.
Anyway, PM 8.02 worked just fine and now my notebook has the new partition without formatting blah.. blah.. blah...
Thanks
