I have noted it myself and it realllly slows down the works.
What I have noticed, however, is that Netscape 7.1 (still my browser of choice) really speeds up Windrivers.
Try it and you'll see.

The program takes longer to open up, but pages do seem to move a little quicker.

yeah Mozilla runs faster than IE for me. Plus all the nice goodies in mozilla I like alot, plus it looks better than IE oh and it runs on my mac and linux nad bsd machines cant beat that

www.avantbrowser.com for me. Faster than IE (even though it uses IE )

speaking of advertising and such....haven't checked it out myself yet, but 1and1.com is supposedly offering 3 YEARS of free hosting with no obligations.......5GB/mo throughput, 30 POP mail clients...some other cool stuff. Will post in hot deals if it seems legit.

No problems here, I tried it in both IE6 and Firebird 0.7
I have seen oddities like that before, but refreshing seems to do the trick most of the time.

On broadband, i don't notice the ad's at all. i use netscape, anything is better then IE and it's vulnerabilities

You're right, Netscape is faster. On pages where that flashing banner ad for HP is located it loaded it on about 1/2 the time.

I prefer Opera - I made a test between Opera and Explorer but Didn't make a test on Opera Vs. Netscape.
