HP CDR / Roxio 5 platinum

I have a HP 9011 CDRW and also useubg Roxio 5 and when I have my list of songs ready to burn I starts to burn and after 2 mins or less of burning Roxio just seems to go away and closes it self. I am running XP pro and I have done the updates to Roxio software.

This seem to happen when the updates came through last thursday and down loaded from MS then it seem to start from there all worked fine before.

I have uninstalled and reinstall Roxio 5 and does not seem to help does the same, just 2 mins into burning and goes off your screen.


ANy ideas.

What updates last week are you referring to?
I would check the DMA mode of the burner first and set it to PIO mode 4 instead of UDMA.
Also, have you checked to see if there was a firmware update for the CDRW?
