    Angry AOL vs Time Warner email war!!!

    Just tried to email a buddy of mine who is an AOL user from my Time Warner Cable email account. Here is the autoreply I get every time:

    Sounds like Sour Grapes to me. I'm really surprised that happened though. I thought ISP's were supposed to connect to either other regardless whether the owners 'liked' each other or not.

    About 6 weeks ago Time Warner officially broke from AOL. REASON: Stock Slippage. AOL went from $60/share in Summer of 2002 to about $15 today. In that time Steve Case, head of AOL has been fired, and the Ceo of Time-Warner has been fired.

    AOL claimed that Time Warner didn't understand the cable business while Time Warner claimed that AOL was using its (TW's) profits to cover for bad business deals on AOL's part. The whole damn things a mess with the real money makers being the lawyers.

    That's my report and an opinion....Orangeman out...

    AOL does this crap every now and then to the customers of the isp i work for, they arent just singling you out, they are just stupid. Usually an email telling them what morons they are does the trick

    I had this exact same message recently but it was nothing to do with time warner. I have an application to directly send e-mail without going through my isp's mail server, all works fine unless I try to e-mail anyone on AOL using this application, that's when I get the exact same message you did.

    (I use btinternet in the UK)
