Help please! 2Wire HPNA issues
I have a client who has a 2Wire HP100 router (www.2wire.com) and they use the 2Wire USB HPNA devices to connect three computers (All PC's use Windows XP) Last week they decided to add another computer to the network. I went onsite and setup the new PC and pluged in a 2Wire USB adapter and installed the driver for it. Here is where it gets weird. Now the network connection drops intermittently on at least 2 of the PC's at least once every couple of seconds. I have tried switching filters and reinstalling software. I think it might be the phone line but I have very little experience in HPNA networking and I am hoping that there is a simple solution to the issue. Also, my client does not want to use wireless networking so unfortunately that is not a solution.
If anyone has dealt with this before PLEASE (begs on hands and knees) let me know!!!
Thanks!

Remove the adapter from the machine thats causing a problem, and borrow one of the others, does the network behave the same? If not, the usb adapter is at fault, if so, you have a driver/power management problem.

Ok I will give that a shot. I can't imagine what would cause the entire network to disconnect and reconect constantly like that though. I wish I could get them to invest in a nice 802.11g setup (sigh).
Thanks NooNoo!
