IBM PS/1 Monitor

A friend of mine moved recenlty and when he unpacked his computer, an old PS/1, a single cable was missing.

The computer has a standard SVGA built into the motherboard but the monitor has a 9 pin-D connector so there he is in need of a cable with 9 pins on one end and 15 on the other.
I could build him a cable if I knew the pinouts for a 9 pin VGA device. THe 15 is probably standard. the monitor is Part Number 59G9977. I have not found any information on IBMs website.

HI,here is the pin for the 9 pins vga#1=ground,#2=second red,#3=red,#4=green,#5=blue,#6=second green,#7=second blue,#8=horizontal syncronization,#9=vertical sync.,now if you are facing the plug with the wide side on top number one is to your right and five to your left on the narrow side 6 is to your rigth and 9 to your left,if you need the pin out on the 15 plug let me know,hope this is of help,cheer`s Clauded

Thanks but I actually went to a small computer shop and he had a 15 to 9 adapter for a few bucks that works great.

hi,you were real lucky to find this adapter,we used to sell them often but i haven`t seen one for a long time ,it sure is the best way to go,Cheer`s clauded
