Hi there,
I'm playing it, but I feel the greedy peoples are still there, sucking all the items drop that the monsters you killed. It's a bitch.

Yep, that's the main reason I only play single player. Things weren't too bad back in the Diablo 1 days, but now it's no longer fun. You almost have to have a private game with guys that you know to have any fun.

I play multi-player, but I generally don't like to group up. I really like it when 4 or 5 people are each off doing their own thing in a game, but unfortunately any games where that could happen generally a high level char comes in and ruins the quests we are doing. I really only play multiplayer for trading.

I refuse to play dialbo online anymore, too much duping and super high level characters giving low level ones free stuff and lots of gold. Cheating is rampant, it just takes all the fun out of it.
BTW, whats new in this patch?

Theres a bunch of new items, for one, new runewords and uniques including some ladder only uniques. There's also a 'world event.' Apparently at random certain Hell difficulty games get this world event where a message is sent saying 'Diablo walks the earth.' The next superunique moster someone gets near enough to spawn spawns instead as The diablo clone who is exceedingly hard; 95% phys, light, fire, and cold res, 95% block rate, lots of hps and hp regen. If you defeat him he drops an annhilius charm which is a small charm that gives +1 all skills, +9% xp, +10-20 all stats, +10-20 all resistances.
General Darksteel, fascist dictator, socially inept and clueless demagouge, and one man army of the L.U.R.K.

So did they put anything in place to slow the cheating?

They keep advertising that anyone who uses 3rd party programs will have their account closed and for repeat offenders have their cd key banned. other than that, they are advertising that a "rust storm" is on the way to eat all the dupes.

AFter playing EQ for several years I tried to play Diablo II online, just didn't like the feel of it at all. Do love playing it single offline though, very fun mindless kill
