    Monitor will not display anything

I've got a computer that when powered on, the monitor will not "wake-up" from power saver mode. Here's what I've tried so far:

    1. Different monitor - same results.
    2. Different video card - same results.
    3. Different RAM - same results.
    4. Different hard drive - same results.
    5. Different floppy drive - same results.
    6. Different CPU - same results.
    7. Different motherboard (same type of board) - same results.

The only thing the same is the case that holds everything. I'm not sure the computer is even posting becuase I'm not hearing a beep. But then again, I switched motherboards, and I don't remember either of them beeping.

    Anybody have any ideas.

wow...the only thing you didn't mention was the power supply.... maybe there's a short between the board and the case? Other than that I'd see how close I could get to the Atlantic with a drop kick....

    another vote for power supply.

had this scenario a couple times and it was the power supply.

EVEN IF the power supply fan does come on, the harddrives power on and spin up etc, and it looks like it's supposed to work, it could still be the power supply.

Well I guess I'll be switching the power supply then. I'll post a reply when I do it.

One person here mentioned rolling it down the stairs and then said it was bonfire material...

Can you fire it up outside the case?
