    Rewards set on virus writers

I had to laugh at this.

Microsoft offers bounties for MSBlast, SoBig authors

So do you think this will help catch the bad guys?

Theories abound that the author wrote the worm to impress a girl, possibly named “San” — short for Sandy.

Um, didn't they already catch the kid that wrote love san a while back and what about welchia which cause way more havok even though it was a "good samaritian" worm?? Methinks the writer may not have a clue...

Blaster smacked most networks it went through. It's volume of ICMP traffic was enough to cripple our routers in some cases at a facility where only 1 or 2 PC's were infected. It caused the whole machine to slow and is stil giving us headaches here.

Personally I wonder why it's no a million $$$ per guy and only $250,000. Guess they figure that hacker/cracker types who might know the guy might turn him/her in for much less than the average joe.

I went from taking around 25 calls a day to taking over 100 because of that little **** hole that wrote blaster, so I'd kick his *** then turn him over

A small part of me would like to buy the dude a beer, but the larger part of me wants to kick him in the jimmy and collect the money. The larger part would win out every time, I'd just take the money and buy some friends some beer.

I would have my job regardless, I work at an ISP, and we DONT support viruses, but people think

"Oh the internet place can fix it"

So they call us and give us ****in sob stories about how they cant get online and then the little ol' granny calls and whines and cries,

Fsck the virus writers, Fsck them in their stupid asses
