    RAID 5/2000 SERVER installation freeze...

    Hey Guys...
My son and I are going bonkers trying to get RAID 5 to work on a new server installation using 2000 Advanced Server... This is our second day and we're really desperate... We have an Adeptec 2410SA controller card sitting on top of a TYAN S2469GN Dual Processor mobo with AMD 2400's.... We have 4 identical WD SATA "Raptor" drives attatched. Whenever we attempt to install 2000 server, it just locks up... If we try RAID 0/1, it works fine. Can't get it to take RAID 5 yet, but we have another case of BAWLS, and it looks like neither one of us will be able to make it to work Monday.. lol We are determined to make this go.. HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that RAID 5, since it writes across at least 3 drives, takes longer to build/verify and we just aren't waiting long enuf... So, when we attempt to install 2000 Ad Server, she just can't take the pressure... Am going to wait till the build/verify process is complete, then see if 2000 Server will install...
