SCSI terminations
hello to all,
I'm having a diffucult time realizing the correct rules in proper SCSI cabling and termination with a lot of internal devices and a few external devices. using an ADAPTEC AHA-2940UW which has i external connector and 1 68pin connector and 1 50 pin connector with automatic termination i think.
I'm trying to connect:
2 x 9.1 IBM Ultrastar 18XP
2 x external 2GB jaz drives
2 x 2GBSeagate Barracuda ST32550W
I'm also using a 50 pin cable with the end having an external connector with a pci slot backplate attached to it, no terminators. but the drives have jumpers for termination.
thanks guys

Wow - the wonders of cabling!!
I am not well-versed in this, but in desperations I use this diagram which has kept me on track before. I don't however do much of this assembly work.
HTH
Good Luck
