Question About XP Pro vs. XP Home
Hey Gang,
A friend of mine has offered me XP Pro for my computer. My question is what is the difference between XP pro and XP home?
Will I be able to use XP Pro on my computer? Is there a lot of stuff that I will be missing on XP Pro that I will need on XP Home?
Any insight will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Orangeman

be careful that the copy u get is leggit , as we all know there are several copies that the serial number has been "tagged" by microsoft ,
if u try to install service packs , they just "don,t" work - yes i know there are "workabouts" ,,,,,but this is verging on piracy ,,,,,so i will leave that one alone.
for "home" use , i cannot see any point in changing to the pro version
good luck

agree with freddy. If you now have xp home stick with it. If you are really interested the differences between the two versions are listed in this link from MS.
