Anyone can help me Pls?
I have TV-TUNER strange interference problem with GA-7VA. There is so much white line noises with craking sound in some chanel with different noise intensity. The noise intensity increase high in windowed mode when dragging or scrolling other windows.
First I though it was the external interference by other FM radio and microwave in my nighbourhood, but after I try to looking deeper the problem by try others TV-TUNER, VIDEO CARD (guessing if it might the interference comes from), releasing other device (LAN CARD, MODEM, FAN), using other PSU and nothing changed.
Then when tried to put my tuner and video card using MSI Intel based mobo with the same power cord, location and antene the result is so clear. There is no noise at all. So... now I blame this mobo causing this interference.
- I have try to search this kind of problem in some search enggine and unfortunaly there's no one have the same problem.
- Have to update with the last release bios and all device drivers to.
- Also have enabling SPREAD SPECTRUM in bios.
- Event think to change PCI concruent mode (hehe I dont know the right spell is
to 64-128 but how could I change it? because there is no bios setting for this.
Could it because the Video Card and Tuner using the same IRQ int WinXP ACPI mode? Or should I try using PC standard mode to sparate the IRQ or even using win98???.
(I'm wondering using external USB TV-TUNER rather 'throw away' this MOBO)
MyPC :
WinXP pro, GA-7VA, XP 1.8, 256M Visipro PC2700, HIS ATI Radeon 8500DV / GF2 MX, 3Demon PV951 / Fly Video Live View, Maxtor 40Gb & 20GB 7500rpm, CDROM Liteon 52X.
Thanks...

You never mentioned the drivers you've installed. Have you installed the VIA4in1 drivers? You can find the link earlier in this thread. If you have tried these, then I would look for slots that don't share IRQ's wit the AGP slot and see what happens from there.
Good Luck.

Thanks 'Garak' for your reply. But I'm sorry was bussy for severals days ago so cannot replied your post.
Yes I have installed all drivers with the newest one, also using latest VIA4in1 even the GA-7VA bios with F11.
Ok here's the driver date info:
DEVICE VERSION DATE DEVICE ID
RADEON 8500 SERIES 6.14.10.6396 9/30/2003 PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_514C&SUBSYS_200317AF&REV_00\4&283A33D&0&0008
BtTuner, Philips WDM TvTuner Not Available Not Available STREAM\BTTUNER.PHILIPS\4&8F719DF&0&0
VIA CPU to AGP2.0/AGP3.0 Controller 5.1.0.3442 7/2/2003 PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_B168&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_00\3&13C0B0C5&0&08
And I have tried to entering STANDARD PC mode so I can re assign the IRQ's to avoiding conflict. But noting change.
So I decided back to ACPI mode and when I look to the IRQ's there is no conflict beetween the DISPLAY and TV-TUNER CARD.
Also have tried to using clean install windows and still problem with interference horizontal white lines.
And it seems a hardware problems. Any idea?
(But I will try to contact the GIGABYTE TOOLFREE NUMBER TO ASKING this anoying problem in my town)
Is it possible the memory or processor causing this???
And here's the IRQs detail:

Looks to me like it's possibly to do with the IRQ's. the capture devicce and your sound are sharing irq's with at least 2 other devices.
I would try shuffling everything around abit.

You can shuffle all you like with acpi on .. they'll probably all still share 9,10 & 11 !
However looking at the thread why is their an 'orphan' mpu401 device on irq 5 ? That ought to live wherever the 'rest' of any s/c lives !?! surley ...
My advice, pull everything except video, see where the onboard s/c ends up, (if you don't need a midi port turn it off in bios), if irq 5 is otherwise free that's where we want it, get it going first minus 'other complications', then the tv card, then the pci modem.
Something is most strange with this ... why for instance have the usb controllers decided to be some on irq10 & some on irq11, they should all be on the same one !
It still mightn't be IRQ's (after all that) ... I have one of those cheapo bt878 tv capture cards (mine being by mercury ) a faint memory stirs of having problems in 98 with their drivers similar which I cured by using some generic drivers from (after much searching) here I also had fun in xp with 'em & am using those for that.
