Very nice program. I would have to assume though that the bounce feature is sending the email to the spoofed return address and not the true email address..
I hope they get some kinda law in place to stop all this spam crap.

aye, you can use your true email or a fake email addy.

also it has alot more features, like spamcop, you signup on spamcops site and theny ou can send them true real spam (not commercial spam) and they can try to track them down. this app is very cool

I think he means that mailwasher will bounce the spam back to a bogus email address because no spammer is going to spam you from their own address.

I'd like to see something that sends ten meg files back to the originating IP. I bet if a few million people start running that you'll see ISPs step up quicker to kill those spam accounts.

Didn't you answer your own point ? Spam can't be (often) 'returned to sender' as the originating ip is spoofed, its too god damn late by the time you get it.

Personally, I believe like you, that its part of the ISPs job to sort this out ... I never asked for this stuff, here in the UK we actually already have law which makes what the ISP is doing illegal, 'transmitting unsolicited mail' but as the DTI, our 'enforcing' (or not) agency doesn't see intermediaries as 'guilty' (they are as guilty as the original spammer if you ask me for passing it on) then zip gets done about it ...

I mean how hard is it to spot that you just re-transmitted 100,000 identical emails ?
