    5.8ghz phone system

ok I'm looking for a 5.8ghz phone system but I really haven't found the one I want. The closest thing to what I want is the Uniden TRU 5885 but it is lacking a few options that I want.

    Here's what I'm looking for:

    • Expandable unit (at least 4 phones)

    • Answering machine

    • No external antennas (preferably but if this is the only thing it doesn't have then so be it)

    • The ability to use at least two handsets at the same time (like lifting up another extension)

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

    can't you just duct tape a couple 2.4ghz and a 900mhz together?

Gollo we have went with this system>>>

It's the Panasonic KX-TG5110M 5.8 GHz Base Unit and Handset with a extra handset.

I bought the set + extra phone at Fry's Electronics when I was in Tempe a few weeks ago on business. It's a real sweet setup.

The 5830 is another good one that I use at home. What's cool is the ability to put a battery in the base unit, hence you can use it even if the power is out.

    Su-weet!

The 5840 has everything I want (except for internal antenna).
